Haulers

Adding haulers and their regional offices into your Compology system allows you to view the hauler that services each container.

Add Haulers

Navigate to the Haulers section of the app. There you can add a hauler or add a region to an existing hauler. All haulers should have at least one region. For example, if you work with a hauler who provides service nationally, but you want to designate different contact information or be able to segment the regions for reporting purposes, you might set up a hauler as “Waste Experts” and then add each region.

When setting up a new hauler region, add all the information possible, including Vendor Id's, especially if your organization has plans to leverage our APIs for syncing hauler data between systems.

Indicating the locations and content type the hauler services

Once your haulers have been added, you will want to indicate which locations they service. Navigate to the location that you want to add a hauler to. Click Edit and you will be able to add a hauler:

When adding a hauler, you will search for one of your existing haulers and the relevant region. You will then indicate which container content types the hauler services. A content type can only be serviced by one hauler at a location, but a hauler can service multiple content types at a location.

Viewing the hauler for a container

Once you have added haulers to your locations, your containers will automatically get associated with those haulers based on their location match and the container’s content type. The association is visible on the Containers page and the Activity page. You can filter for containers by hauler on the Containers page as well.
